KidPoint Series: Campfire Stories

There’s something special about gathering around a campfire and hearing a great story. This summer in KidPoint, we’re diving into some powerful stories from the Old Testament in a series called Campfire Stories!

Our goal is for kids to learn that they can trust God in every situation. Through these incredible Bible stories, they’ll discover that God is always faithful, always with them, and always worthy of their trust—no matter what they face in life.

Our memory verse for the series reminds us of this important truth:

“The Lord is good. His faithful love continues forever. It will last for all time to come.” — Psalm 100:5, NIRV

Each week, kids will explore a different Bible story and learn a practical truth they can apply to their everyday lives:

Week 1: God always keeps His promises! (Genesis 6–9 — Noah)
Kids will learn how God kept His promise to Noah and his family. Through the story of the flood and the rainbow, they’ll discover that God is faithful and always does what He says He will do.

Week 2: I can trust God’s instructions! (Joshua 6 — The Walls of Jericho)
The Israelites were given some unusual instructions, but they chose to obey God. Kids will learn that even when God’s directions don’t make sense to us, we can trust that His way is always best.

Week 3: I can stay faithful to God! (Daniel 6 — Daniel in the Lions’ Den)
Daniel continued to trust and obey God even when it was difficult. Kids will be challenged to remain faithful to God in their own lives, knowing that He is with them no matter what.

Week 4: I can stand strong because God is with me! (Daniel 3 — The Fiery Furnace)
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego chose to stand for God even when facing a fiery furnace. Kids will learn that they can have courage and stand strong in their faith because God is always with them.

Our prayer is that this series helps your children build a deeper trust in God and His faithfulness. As they hear these incredible stories, we hope they’ll discover that no matter what challenges, questions, or circumstances they face, they can always trust God!

Family Table Talk Questions

Use these questions at the dinner table, in the car, or before bed to continue the conversation at home:

  • What is something that feels difficult or scary right now, and how can you trust God with it?
  • Which person from this series would you most like to meet, and why?
  • What is one way our family can choose to trust God together this week?

We can’t wait to continue this summer adventure with your kids as we gather around the campfire and discover that God is always faithful and worthy of our trust!
