KidPoint Series: SENT

This month in KidPoint, we’re learning what it means to be SENT! Throughout this series, kids will discover that God gives us His power, courage, and opportunities to share the gospel with others. As we explore stories from the book of Acts, we’ll see how God used ordinary people to share the message of Jesus and help others know Him!

Kids will learn that being SENT isn’t just something adults or missionaries do, it’s something every follower of Jesus can be part of! God can use us wherever we are, and He gives us what we need to share the good news with the people around us. Our prayer is that kids will develop a heart for being SENT and discover that they can be part of helping the gospel spread throughout the world!

Kingdom Builders:

This month, we’re excited to introduce our KidPoint kids to Kingdom Builders! Kingdom Builders is the generosity initiative of LifePoint Church to make an eternal impact by giving to ministries and organizations locally and around the world that share the gospel, serve those in need, and help build the Kingdom of God. As our kids learn what it means to be SENT by God, they’ll be given an opportunity to put what we are learning from God’s Word into practice!

This month, KidPoint will be partnering with OneHope, an organization that helps put God’s Word into the hands of children and teens around the world. And here’s something amazing: every $1 can help put God’s Word into the hands of 3 children!

On Sunday, November 15th, KidPoint will participate in our church’s Miracle Offering! We’re challenging every KidPoint kid to consider bringing $1 to help us reach our goal of $1,100—which could help put God’s Word into the hands of 3,300 children around the world! We’ll also collect gifts on November 22nd for anyone who missed the opportunity to participate.

Want to learn more about OneHope and how they’re helping children around the world encounter God’s Word? Check out this short video!

Our prayer is that this will be more than just a lesson about giving. We want our kids to develop a heart for the lost, and a desire to see the gospel shared in every part of the world! As you talk with your children this month, encourage them to pray for children who have not yet heard the good news about Jesus and consider how your family can participate together.

Here’s what we’ll be learning this month:

Week 1: God gives me His power to share the gospel!

Acts 2:1–41 — God Sends the Holy Spirit

Kids will discover that God gave His followers the Holy Spirit to help them share the gospel with boldness and power! They will learn that we don’t have to rely only on our own strength or courage, God gives us HIS power to help us share the good news!

Week 2: I can be bold because God is with me!

Acts 3:1–26; 4:1–22 — Peter and John

Kids will learn that we can be bold when we share about Jesus because God is with us! They will be encouraged to trust that God is with them and gives them courage to speak up about their faith.

Week 3: I can help others understand God’s Word!

Acts 8:26–40 — Philip Teaches the Ethiopian

Kids will discover that God can use us to help others understand His Word! They will learn that sharing the gospel can sometimes mean answering questions, explaining what the Bible says, and helping someone understand who Jesus is.

Week 4: I can share the gospel wherever I go!

Acts 9:26–31; 13:1–3; 15:36–41 — Paul and Barnabas

Kids will learn that we can share the gospel wherever God sends us! They will be encouraged to look for opportunities to share the good news wherever they go!

Memory Verse

“He said to them, ‘Go into all the world. Preach the good news to everyone.’” – Mark 16:15 (NIRV)

This month’s memory verse reminds us that the good news about Jesus is meant to be shared! Jesus calls His followers to go and tell others about Him. No matter how old we are or where we live, we can be part of helping people hear and understand the good news of Jesus.

Family Table Talk Questions

One of the greatest ways to help your child grow in their faith is by talking about what they’re learning throughout the week. Whether you’re around the dinner table, driving to school, getting ready for bed, or just spending time together, take a few moments to ask questions, listen well, and help your child discover how they can be part of sharing the gospel!

  • Who is someone you know who may need to hear about Jesus?
  • What do you think it means to be SENT by God?
  • What can you do when you feel nervous or scared about talking to someone about your faith?
  • Where could God be sending you to share the good news this week?

A Prayer for Your Family

Our prayer is that this month in KidPoint will help your children understand that they GET to be part of God’s mission! We want them to know that they don’t have to wait until they’re older to be used by God. He gives them His power, courage, and opportunities to share the gospel right now!

This month, I’m praying that your children will develop a heart for being SENT. I’m praying they will recognize the people God has placed around them, have courage to speak up about Jesus, and be willing to follow God wherever He leads them.

I’m also praying that your family will have conversations about what it looks like to LIVE SENT, not just inside the walls of the church, but at school, in your neighborhood, on your sports teams, and everywhere you go. May your home be a place where your children are encouraged to look for opportunities to share the good news and remind others of the hope we have in Jesus!

Thank you for trusting us with your kids and allowing us to partner with you as you lead them in becoming fully devoted followers of Jesus!

With Gratitude,
