This month in KidPoint, we’re celebrating Christmas with a special Advent series all about Jesus: God’s greatest gift! During this season, kids will explore how God kept His promises, had a plan from the very beginning, and showed His incredible love for us through the gift of His Son, Jesus. Every story, song, and small group activity is designed to point kids toward the true reason we celebrate Christmas: Jesus came to bring hope, peace, joy, and love to the world!
Our memory verse this month reminds us of that powerful truth:
“May the God who gives hope fill you with great joy. May you have perfect peace as you trust in him. May the power of the Holy Spirit fill you with hope.” (Romans 15:13 NIrV)
Each week, kids will discover a new part of God’s amazing Christmas story:
- Week 1: God keeps His promise! (Isaiah 9:6-7 & 53)
- Week 2: God has a plan! (Luke 1:26-56)
- Week 3: Jesus is the greatest gift! (Luke 2:1-11, John 3:16, 1 John 4:9–10)
- Week 4: Share the good news with everyone! (Luke 2:8-20)
Throughout December, we’ll help kids see that Christmas isn’t just about presents, lights, or decorations—it’s about celebrating the greatest gift the world has ever received: Jesus!
Family Table Talk Questions:
- What do you think it means that Jesus is “God’s greatest gift”?
- How did God keep His promises in the Christmas story?
- What are some ways we can share the good news of Jesus with others this season?
- How can we remember to celebrate Jesus all month long?
This December, we hope every child in KidPoint experiences the hope, peace, joy, and love that only Jesus can bring. Let’s celebrate together the true meaning of Christmas—God’s love shown through His Son, our Savior!
