Life can feel like a battle sometimes, even for kids! In this series, we’re helping kids discover that God hasn’t left them to face life on their own. He has given them everything they need to stand strong through the Armor of God!
Our goal is for kids to understand what each piece of God’s armor means and how it helps them follow Jesus in their everyday lives. As they learn, they’ll be empowered to choose to “put on” God’s armor daily so they can stand firm, no matter what they face!
Our memory verse reminds us of this powerful truth:
“Put on all of God’s armor. Then you can remain strong against the devil’s evil plans.” — Ephesians 6:11, NIRV
Each week, kids will discover how to stand strong as they explore these truths and Scriptures:
Week 1: God’s armor helps me stand strong! (Ephesians 6:10–17)
Kids will be introduced to the Armor of God and learn that God gives them strength to stand firm in every situation. They’ll discover that they’re not fighting alone—God is with them and has equipped them!
Week 2: I can stand strong with God’s truth! (Ephesians 6:10–17; Genesis 2:15–17; 3)
Kids will learn about the Belt of Truth and why knowing what is true matters. They’ll see how lies can lead us away from God, but His truth helps guide us and keeps us strong.
Week 3: I can do what’s right and share the good news! (Ephesians 6:10–17; Judges 6:1–32; Matthew 28:16–20)
Through the Breastplate of Righteousness and Shoes of Peace, kids will learn that they can choose to do what’s right and be ready to share the good news of Jesus wherever they go!
Week 4: I can stand strong because I trust Jesus and belong to Him! (Ephesians 6:10–17; Mark 4:35–41; John 4:46–53)
Kids will discover how the Shield of Faith and Helmet of Salvation help protect their hearts and minds. They’ll learn that trusting Jesus gives them confidence and reminds them they belong to Him.
Week 5: I can stand strong with God’s Word! (Ephesians 6:10–17; Matthew 4:1–11)
Kids will explore the Sword of the Spirit and learn how God’s Word is a powerful tool to help them make wise choices and stand strong when facing temptation, just like Jesus did!
Our prayer is that this series helps your kids not only understand the Armor of God, but begin to live it out daily. We’re believing that as they grow in confidence, they’ll stand strong in their faith and follow Jesus in every part of their lives!
