KidPoint Series: Wonderful!

This month in KidPoint, we’re celebrating God’s most incredible creation—you and me! In September, we’re in a brand-new series called Wonderful!—all about how we are wonderfully made by God, on purpose and for a purpose. From the very beginning in Genesis, God created light, land, oceans, stars, and animals…but then He created His favorite masterpiece: people! Each of us is made in His image, and every detail about us—our looks, our talents, our personalities—was designed with love and intentionality by our Creator.

This series is helping kids explore one of the most important questions they’ll ever ask: Who am I? The answer is found in God’s Word. The only One who can truly tell us who we are is the One who created us! And what does He say? He says we are loved, valuable, and precious to Him. We are focusing on identity, reminding kids that who they are isn’t an accident or mistake. They were made wonderfully and intentionally by God, and even their identity as a boy or a girl is part of His perfect design!

Our memory verse this month reminds us of this powerful truth: “How you made me is amazing and wonderful. I praise you for that. What you have done is wonderful. I know that very well.” (Psalm 139:14 NIRV). Each week, kids are unpacking what it means to be wonderfully made:

  • Week 1: I am wonderfully made. God created us with detail, love, and purpose!
  • Week 2: God made me on purpose. Every part of who we are was designed by God before the world even began!
  • Week 3: God made boys and girls. God created both male and female wonderfully and uniquely in His image!
  • Week 4: God made me to know Him. Through Jesus, we can live in relationship with God now and forever!

Our goal is for every child to leave KidPoint this month confident in who God says they are and made them to be. When kids understand their identity as God’s masterpiece, it changes how they see themselves, how they treat others, and how they live out their faith!

Family Table Talk Questions:

  • What’s something unique about the way God made you?
  • How does knowing God made you on purpose change how you feel about yourself?
  • What does it mean to you that God made you to know Him?
